You can choose from 50 pre-planned workouts like “5 Minute Abs,” or even create your very own using the hundreds of different exercises available. Each exercise is separated into Strength, Cardio, Yoga, and Stretching. If you choose to upgrade to Premium, you can choose to undertake workout plans and enjoy unlimited customizable settings for your specific workouts.

 

Now it’s time to start your workout! Choose your workout – or create your own – then choose how long you want to be working out, from 5 minutes up to an hour. Then begin! The app will give you 15 seconds to get ready to begin your first exercise, and then the workout begins. Each exercise will be for 30 seconds, with a 5 second interlude and the occasional 30 second rest period. If you want, you can always skip an exercise, repeat it, or pause the workout with easy-to-use buttons on the bottom of the screen. Each exercise is demonstrated by a recording of an animated person, so it’s easy to follow along if you don’t understand an exercise. After your workout is over, you’ll be able to see how many calories you’ve burned as well as the option to schedule your next workout.

 

Sworkit is also great for group workouts. You can get your friends together and follow the exercises together, or just share your accomplishments on social media or through text.
