2017 Kiss108 Kiss Summer Concert
Every summer Boston’s number one radio station, Kiss108, holds a summer concert that has so many artists that you might be too overwhelmed by all the insane talent. This concert is called the Kiss108 Kiss Summer Concert. This year’s line up included; Miley Cyrus, Jason Derulo, Flo Rida, Fifth Harmony, Liam Payne, Noah Cyrus, Job Bellion, James Arthur, Sabrina Carpenter and more.
The parking lots opened at 12:30PM for fans that love tailgating with friends, the gates opened at 3:00PM with even more fans and more excitement all leading up to the shows starting time of 4:30PM. The show opened with Michael Constantino who won the Kiss108 On the Rise contest. Constantino is an upcoming artist that mashes songs together to make them one cool sounding song.
After Constantino performed, Sabrina Carpenter went on performing her hit song “Thumbs,” which got everyone “twiddling them thumbs.” After Carpenter, James Arthur came on stage. At first Arthur did have microphone issues but with his stellar vocals he said he wouldn’t let go by performing his current hit song, “Say You Won’t Let Go.”
Unfortunately, James Arthur did have to let go so that Noah Cyrus could perform. Noah Cyrus is another musician from the famous Cyrus family. Noah Cyrus has a very distinct sound to her which she probably does so that she doesn’t get compared to her sister Miley Cyrus. Cyrus performed her song “Make Me,” which made everyone fall in love with her if they weren’t already.
Liam Payne made her get of stage though so that song didn’t really fit Cyrus. Payne performed only one song because he only has one song and it’s called “Strip That Down,” thankfully no one did that at the concert. After stripping down Payne’s stage set which was nothing, Jon Bellion came on to perform his song “All Time Low,” it was an all-time high of his performances by covering all parts of the stage.
After Bellion performed the biggest act to perform that night came on stage, anyone want to guess who? Yes, that’s right it was Miley Cyrus. Cyrus came out to perform “Malibu,” her current single playing all over the radio station. Cyrus then went on to perform a cover of her godmother, Dolly Parton, song “Jolene.” Cyrus ended her stage set with “We Can’t Stop,” and yes that performance was definitely a “Party in the U.S.A.”
Then Jason Derulo came on stage to perform his songs “Want You to Want Me,” which made everyone want him more due to that fact that he is “Ridin’ Solo.”
After Derulo performed Fifth or is it Fourth? No, its Fifth Harmony. Fifth Harmony performed their songs, “Worth It,” which was totally worth the wait to hear that song live, “All in My Head,” which got stuck in everyone’s head because of the performance. They also performed their new song called “Down,” which was a up moment of the night. Their best performance was for sure “Work From Home,” which always makes everyone wish that they could work from home.
To end the night was Flo Rida. What a way to close the show by basically having a huge dance party. Flo Rida performed his hit songs “Low,” which got everyone going as low as they could go. He also performed “Good Feeling,” which had everyone feeling good as well as his performance of “Wild Ones,” which got everyone going wild and dancing crazy. Overall the night was a way to kick off the summer. Endless talent, music, dancing, and of course socializing with friends. Make sure you attend next years Kiss108 Kiss Summer Concert and don’t forget about the Kiss108 Jingle Ball Concert later this year in December!
