Best and Worst from the 2015 Grammy Awards
The annual 57th Grammys was held on Sunday Feb. 8 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles California. The star studded event did not disappoint in terms of fashion as celebs gave their all on the red carpet for the spot of best dressed attendee. In case you missed the preshow event, here is a countdown of the top best-dressed celebrities of the night.
10. Gwen Stefani
The singer and renowned series The Voice coach rocked a custom Atelier Versace black jumpsuit. In a red carpet interview with Ryan Seacrest, the new mom said her jumpsuit was hand-stitched and that she was very pleased with the result calling it “artwork.” Atelier Versace also designed her performance outfit which was equally beautiful.
The 18-year-old Disney star/ singer debuted a new pixie hairdo, which looked absolutely gorgeous on her with a lovely gown by Vivienne Westwood.
Usher kept it simple and classy on the red carpet of the Grammys.
7. Jhene Aiko
The singer/songwriter looked graceful in this fairytale gown from Alberta Ferretti. She completed the look with Jimmy Choo clutch and heels.
6. Aloe Blacc
It looks like navy blue suits are in vogue. A handful of men at the Grammys wore navy blue suitswith lapels but Aloe Blacc wore it best.
All hail the Queen B. The winner of the “Best R&B Performance” award dazzled in this black lace gown as she thanked her husband, her daughter Blue Ivy and her Beehives for supporting her and “riding so hard.”
4. Nicki Minaj
The female rapper arrived at the event in a Tom Ford sequin fringe. She accessorized the look with diamond earrings and bracelets and opted for nude make-up.
3. Ariana Grande
Ariana looked breathtakingly beautiful in this Versace gown and her signature ponytail hairstyle as she walked the red carpet with her boyfriend Big Sean.
2. Katharine McPhee
Two words to describe this look: simple and elegant. This was the first Grammy attendance by the TV show Scorpion actress Katharine Mcphee.
1. Taylor Swift
The “Shake it off” singer beamed in an ombre gown by Elie Saab. Though she was nominated for a couple of awards, she did not win any but fans are sure she will “shake it off” just as she advised other nominees to do.
Some celebrities amazed us with the beautiful costumes, but others had us talking for all the wrong reasons. Here is a countdown of the worst-dressed attendees of the night.
10. Kim Kardashian
What was she thinking? This bathrobe/ gown got a lot of laughs on social media. We all know she is better than this.
9. Miley Cyrus
This time the “Wrecking Ball” singer wore a black gown with the cuts in the wrong places. Although this is not surprising; she usually struggles to be on the list of best dressed guests.
8. Pharrell Williams
Pharrell came to the event with his wife Helen Lasichanh. Both of their attires were designed by Adidas and their outfits scream, “I’m going to the gym.” We all know he likes to go above and beyond when it comes to fashion but he missed the bar on this one. However, his performance was great.
7. Iggy Azalea
The Australian pop star wore an Armani Prive dress to the awards show. It would not have been so bad if she did not go for that horrendous hairstyle. She seriously needs a new stylist.
6. Jane Fonda
For a 77-year-old, she has an amazing figure! But her green elf jumpsuit does not help in flaunting it.
5. Secret agent 23 skidoo
This is just the wrong fabric and color combination for a guy. Not a good look.
4. Jenny Lewis
The songstress wore this rainbow-hue suit that was a disaster by itself. To make it even worse, she paired it with oversize shades and horrible shoes. This whole outfit was a fail
Sia arrived at the event with Maddie Ziegler, the young dancer starring in her video “Chandelier”. The singer is known for her spectacular voice and her efforts in trying to avoid fame and the media, however the wig is just ridiculous.
2. Bill Kelliher
The musician attended the event in this colorful suit that makes him look like a clown. He probably thought he was going to a children’s park instead of the Grammys.
1. Joy Villa
This attire was most likely inspired by a basket. The outfit showed a whole lot of skin and boobs and, to top it all, the color and material of the “basket dress” is just a no no.
