Boston Mayoral Election: Primary Election Results

On Tuesday, voters in the Boston area flocked to the polls to cast their vote to decide who would be the remaining candidates for the Mayor of Boston. Voters also decided who would remain as Boston City Councillor candidates before the November 5 election.

Below are the unofficial results, taken from CityofBoston.Gov.

Mayor 

Martin Walsh: 20,838 votes, 18.47% 

John Connolly: 19,420 votes, 17.22% 

Charlotte Golar Richie: 15,536 votes, 13.77%

Daniel Conley: 12,764 votes, 11.32%

 

 

Boston City Councillor: District 1

Salvatore Lamattina: 7,066 votes, 73.37%

Brian Gannon: 1,525 votes, 15.84%

 

 

Boston City Councillor: District 4

Charles Yancey: 6,139 votes, 65.39%

Terrance Williams: 1,545 votes, 16.46%

 

 

Boston City Councillor: District 5

Timothy McCarthy: 3,727 votes, 24.31%

Jean-Claude Sanon: 3,049 votes, 19.89%

 

 

Boston City Councillor: District 8

Josh Zakim: 2,691 votes, 45.33%

Michael Nichols: 1,619 votes, 27.27%

 

 

Boston City Councillor at Large 

Ayanna Pressley: 42,875 votes, 16.71%

Michael Flaherty: 39,871 votes, 15.54%

Stephen Murphy: 31,701 votes, 12.35%

Michelle Wu: 29,359 votes, 11.44%

Martin Keogh: 15,734 votes, 6.13%

Jeffrey Ross: 13,929 votes, 5.43%

Annissa Essaibi George: 12,236 votes, 4.77%

Jack Kelly III: 11,900 votes, 4.64%
